You Can Be Fashionable On A Budget

We want to be fashionable, yeah I get it. But in today’s world if you won’t be extra careful of how much you are spending or what you are spending with, believe me you will be in total trouble. You don’t want to be empty handed. Right? So I guess these tips can help a little.

Before shopping, check your budget first, do you have $100 extra or just $50? And think a million of times if you really need extra clothes right now to wear but if you have enough then think a million of times again. Don’t be impulsive, because even though you skipped the nice expensive dress, you might end up shopping for cheap ones and you did not notice the total amount that you shopped for numbers of clothes was just the same amount of shopping the expensive dress. I mean, my logic is that it is better to buy the expensive dress but you are sure with the quality than buying lots of dresses and clothes but the quality is just so cheaper

Second to look is all the clothes and stuffs that you already have, people tend to accumulate things or hoard stuffs without realizing the bad effect on it. Review the stuffs that you have, let’s say how many blue tops you have, how many t-shirts that you have but no date worthy clothes. Do you have more sandals? Or tennis shoes? Then check if the things that you really need.

This tip is always recommended if you have clothes you are not wearing at all and you think that someone else out there might find it useful. SELL IT!

Do not use any credit card; it is better if you always have Cash with you especially if you are easily got tempted to shop more. With credit card you may not be able to control it, it is easy to swipe but with cash you can budget it all, of course you don’t want to walk on your way home especially that your house is located miles and miles away from the mall.

13th Month Reserved

I am glad that our company gave us the 13th month in the first week of December. Yes, it is very early and I am so delighted however I could not just spend it to myself, it is reserved for my family this Christmas. My husband could not seem to send us enough this year for the gifts of the kids. I already detected when he told me that he will send the kids some gifts when he gets back and I am sure that it will not gonna be this month. So I represented myself, my 13th month pay supposed to be for house repair but because I don’t want my kids to have empty hands on Christmas eve again just like a year ago, I have the house repair set aside for now. The most important is that this Christmas are my kids to enjoy their gifts, the gifts that they wished for long time. I don’t care if I don’t have anything this Christmas, I’ll just buy something for myself when this season is over.

Saving Money On A Budget

Don’t start your month short on cash especially when you are on a tight budget. It is crucial indeed to save money while your money is limited. But I am positive that you can do it right. I know that when your budget is tight it is hard to come up with money to save to avoid being panic when emergency arise. But shifting the way you think about budget can make a good result, it can’t be overnight but once you practice it, I am sure it can help your finances.

A way to save money is to shop smarter, meaning to say know your priority. For example when you want to bring some snacks for your kids, and you were thinking of a J Co doughnut but that is pretty expensive, get a snack that is lesser the expenses. Go to Goldilocks perhaps and get some yummy bread that is lesser the cost.

Keep the change, no it does not mean you have to give away the change when you are doing some grocery shop but ask for a change to keep it because somehow you will need those coins when you grocery shop again.

Pay yourself first. Pay your bill first and do not go around to the mall when its payday because you will just get tempted to shop around while it is not needed.

Wise Cross Cutting

I guess I have this character from my Dad; he influenced me so much in regards to for spending. My Dad always have this mini notebook before and would always write down all the things that we need and there are times I saw a list that was scratch and that list supposed to be intended for him, like a new shirt but in the end he just set it aside so he can attend our needs. Thanks to his work before because instead of shopping us school materials, those were free already from his company. So I have new notebooks, new papers, new pencils and those were free. We struggle always for our budget ever since my Mom died but my Dad tried everything to keep the budget intact and save, I was a witness of it.

Saving money is very essential especially during emergency. How to save? Even a hundred every day in the bank would do, and I am doing that so even I spotted some new clothes in the mall and it’s for sale when the money left in my wallet is intended for savings, it always goes to the bank and not to the mall. I am the living proof of how important it is to save when I got sick. My husband wired me some money but the remittance that he used to send me was offline. Good thing I have my savings and I used it for check-up and for my medicines if I don’t have savings, I might not be able to see a Doctor on that day and the next day I might already end up, admitted in the hospital.

It is good to eat out with our family but we have to be careful of our spending, we can eat out but sometimes only. I would rather cook at home than to eat out, I mean everything at home is very affordable if you cook. I am not a good cook but I am trying and I have to thank the technology because I can easily find recipes online and it’s free. Through technology also that we were able to save posters for ABC’s or some visuals, we can just print the alphabets and so my youngest daughter can learn from those.
